Occupational Health Consultation
HealthWORKS assists employers in developing and implementing a cost-effective employee health program. Our goal is to establish a complete understanding of your company and its needs. With this knowledge, we can offer effective management, treatment and prevention of worksite injuries.

HealthWORKS will tour your company and become familiar with its operation, jobs and potential healthcare problems. This free service is offered to client employers and is an essential first step when joining our industrial care system.

Post-offer medical examinations are customized for your company's specific needs. They also meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Drug Screening Randomization Pool/ Medical Review Officer
HealthWORKS will maintain your Random Pool for your company's federally mandated drug testing program. Computerized randomization will be accomplished and your selected contact person will be notified of employees requiring testing.

Workplace Injury Management
The injury management services we offer give prompt medical care to non-emergency soft tissue injuries such as tendonitis and lower back strains, as well as, acute injuries such as lacerations and foreign body removal. We also have access to Emergency Department coverage through St. Joseph Hospital for times when the clinic is not open, such as evenings, holidays and weekends.

Computerized Injury Tracking & Reporting
Case management services are available for businesses like yours. The designated contact person that you choose for your company is contacted following each client visit to discuss the outcome of the examination and any work restrictions.

Physical/ Occupational Therapy
Physical and Occupational Therapy services are available in our office for immediate access. Licensed physical and occupational therapists trained to develop return to work programs tailor-made to fit your company's need are available upon request.

Screening for Health Problems
Health screening for selected problems is cost-effective and may be mandated in certain situations by OSHA. HealthWORKS offers the following screenings:
Audiometric (Hearing) Screening
Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (COAHC) certified technicians or equivalent perform baseline and annual hearing exams on all employees exposed to noise levels exceeding 85 decibels over a time weighted average (TWA) of 8 hours.

Hearing conservation programs may be conducted on-site. The educational program is designed to meet all OSHA requirements. Employees are instructed (in a one hour session) in the mechanics of hearing, effects of noise on hearing, and the proper insertion or use of ear protection.

Hypertension Screening
Blood pressure screening is done at your worksite by our nursing staff. Blood pressure screenings will identify employees with hypertension, and follow up with those with an established diagnosis and under medical treatment. Follow-up, when indicated, is by referral through the individual's primary care provider system.

Pulmonary (Lung) Function Testing
Pulmonary Function Testing is indicated in occupations where there is exposure to dust, fumes, gases, chemicals or mists. Graphs are interpreted by our Medical Director.

First Aid Training
An OSHA approved first aid course is taught at your worksite or our facility. The program provides basic skills in: managing obstructed airways, rescue breathing, controlling bleeding, applying dressings and splints, and in treating burns, heat exhaustion, stroke and hypothermia and many other types of injuries.

Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
This training enables your employees to obtain certification in the life saving skills of adult obstructed airway, and adult one person CPR. Re-certification is a four hour refresher course. Instruction in infant CPR is available with a longer time commitment.
