Lawrence Smith, M.D.

Dr. Smith received his Doctorate in Medicine at Ohio State University. He opened Winterport Family Medicine where he is currently the Division Director. Dr. Smith is Board Certified in family practice and has a particular interest in geriatrics, including nursing home care and care of brain injury patients.

Dr. Smith has been awarded Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) by their Diabetes Physician Recognition Program. According to the NCQA/ADA:  “Physicians who achieve [this] Recognition show their peers, patients and others in the Diabetes community that they are part of an elite group that is publicly recognized for its skill in providing the highest-level diabetes care.”
