Thomas Hayward, M.D., FAAFP

  Dr. Hayward graduated from Bowdoin College and received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He has Board Certification in both Family Medicine and Geriatrics. In 2001, Dr. Hayward was recognized as "Maine Family Physician of the Year" and is the Division Director at Sunbury's Corinth location. He is the Chief Medical Officer and Treasurer for Sunbury Medical Associates.

Dr. Hayward has been awarded Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) by their Diabetes Physician Recognition Program. According to the NCQA/ADA:  “Physicians who achieve [this] Recognition show their peers, patients and others in the Diabetes community that they are part of an elite group that is publicly recognized for its skill in providing the highest-level diabetes care.”
